The Planetarium Lab
The Glastonbury Planetarium offers out-of-this-world learning experiences for GEHMS Students. Our programs will immerse your students in stunning visualizations in the unique environment of the planetarium. The planetarium capacity is limited to 80 (3 classes at a time) for most programs. However, we find that one class at a time works well for the best educational experience.
Review the class options below. Note the planetarium can also be reserved for a meeting, movie showing or other event requiring the domed environment.

What Do You Want to Know?
Explore together, unlock learning, and reach for new horizons. The planetarium becomes a laboratory. Utilizing the awe-inspiring visuals of the planetarium’s digital universe the learner, through questions and observations, guides the experience. As each question or observation is explored, more questions and more discoveries are made. Where we end up, is up to the learner. The Planetarium Lab can be open-ended or targeted around a specific celestial object or concept. Simply explore the night sky or a specific planet, our Moon, the Earth, etc; there are a universe of possibilities. A Planetarium Lab session could lead to a writing project, more research, further reading, at art project, listening to music, etc. Classes are tailored to each grade level.
